All Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder

I hate to do this, I really do, but today I've got to call suck on my own team for the second time this week.

I just finished reading All Star Batman & Robin the Boy Wonder. Three pages of issue one are devoted to Vicki Vale standing around in her underwear followed by two pages of her getting dressed. That's five pages or over a fifth of a twenty two page book. And what important plot points or character traits are revealed in these five pages? Vicki Vale doesn't like Batman but really likes Bruce Wane. Oh and Vicki Vale looks good in her underwear, that is if you think Jim Lee's art in general looks good. I'm not a fan. Well, I'm sure Vicki's underwear will be important later in the story so I'm sure it was important to establish that she looks good in it right away in the first issue.

Judas priest, who wrote this crap? Oh, it's Frank Miller. I forgot. He's a frelling genius. Nevermind what I said. This book is brilliant! Thank God for Frank Miller. He's the best we've got. Run right out and pick up a copy of All Star Vicki Vale. Sorry, I ment All Star Batman & Robin the Boy Wonder.

Wow...did someone roll out of bed and get kicked in the nuts?

Look...I am no fan of this either. This what you get when books are written for the trade...instead of just telling the story.

You get pages of women prancing around in their lingerie (and high heels).

I would like to say that I enjoyed this, if for no other reason than to be able to disagree with you. But I can't.

If the next issue sucks as much as this one did, I'll go back to not reading a monthly Batbook.

Well, I guess I should be glad Liefeld didn't draw it.

oh my god you've got Blog Spam. What the hell is that!?!

anyway - yeah Vale in the undies was pretty pointless - but i'm curious out the different angle on the deaths of Mary and John Grayson & police corruption in Gotham - think there's a bit of potetial in it anyway.

But Miller has screwed up Batman & Robin before - case in point is DK2.

I'd have called him on it at the NY signing, but he was so excited when he saw my beat up, much read copy of issue one of the ORIGINAL DKR - in fact I sear he was gushing as he said "Oh man this is so cool - this has been READ!" - that I didn't feel chastizing him would be fair.

Ok, I think I got rid of the spam, although I'm not entirely sure about "Mr. Dracula." Christ I hate spammers. It's just like the said in Team America: World Police, "Assholes want to shit all over everything."
